MEDICATIONS THAT LOWER CHOLESTEROL
There are a number of genetic factors that may affect your ability to reduce your blood cholesterol by diet alone. If your cholesterol level remains elevated, your doctor will prescribe a cholesterol-lowering medication. By monitoring your cholesterol levels, your doctor will be able to achieve the optimal effect with the specific drug and dosage that you are using. Your full involvement and cooperation are necessary, however, to change your diet and to exercise regularly, not only to lower your cholesterol level but also to acquire a healthier lifestyle.
